>Visiting with the sister

Closing in on the Nano for 2005…I’m short about 7500 words at this point,
and should finish in plenty of time. I’m visiting my sister in Nashville
for Thanksgiving and have been using her computer to stay caught up on my
word counts. The only problem was her computer had a couple of viruses, so
I’ve spent considerable time downloading patches and upgrading virus
protections and basically wasting time I could be writing…

ah, what the heck.

Anyway, the writing is going well, although my carpul tunnel pain is
considerable. I’ve got to figure out a way to lower the stress on my wrists
and hands, especially my right hand if I’m going to continue to write at
this pace over the coming year, which is what I’d like to do.

I’ve got to write a lot of crap to get to the good stuff, and that means
using muscles I’m going to need later! Frankly, the stuff I’ve written in
the last few days has been exactly crap…but I’m going for getting it
written, not getting it right at the moment, so I can proudly say that it is
getting done!
