>Okay, that’s one more chapter down for Hawkes…turns out that the story just needs one last scene and I’ll be completely done. The final scene where they decide if they are going to end up together or not is still missing… Haven’t written it yet, but I’ll probably do that tonight.
Something happened today in chapter 9 that I hadn’t planned on, so I printed out the whole manuscript leading right up to the cliffhanger for a final read-thru before I write the ending.
It’s time for a fresh look at the whole thing just to see if I’ve left out anything or missed something big before I close it down for good.
Oh, and the heroine’s name is now Ally. That’s the name I like.
What an adventure this has been… I can’t wait to get it into the mail on Monday just to have it out of my hair. I’m ready to get back to Tessa… The Egyptians are hijacking her plane right now, and I’ve had her on hold for the past 3 weeks…
I was telling Jeanine about one of my favorite authors from years ago, S.E. Hinton, who wrote one of my favorite books, That Was Then This is Now. She had no idea who I was talking about, so I went to her website…and get this. She has a new book out – and it is called Hawkes Harbor. There is something very serendipitous about that…but I’m not sure what it all means.
P.S. At 1am, I finished the Epilogue…and wrote THE END. Officially done, and the ending shocked the heck out of me. I thought it was one thing, but turned out something entirely different… love it when that happens.
