>Formula for Happiness

Happiness has been a little hard to come by lately. Kid is having trouble in school, financial trials and tribulations at home, various health issues…I’m telling ya. It’s been sucking. And let’s not forget it’s still winter…the dark, dreariness of it is not helping. February is typically the worst month of the year for me, and this February is no different.
Then today, I find out on msn.com there’s an actual “formula” for happiness. Being the math geek of the world, I decide to check it out and get read to plug in some info and do some calculating.
Pleasure + Engagement + Meaning = Happiness
I read this to a girl at work. Her response: “Oh puleasse!” Yeah, that’s kinda what I thought. Meanwhile, just getting out of bed and making it through the day is about all I can get accomplished. I’m usually a very bright and cheerful person…I don’t let things bother me. Today, that cheerfulness is hard to come by.

  2. >Hang in there, Moira. Winter’s almost on its way out, and you’ll make it through everything making you miserable. You’re strong and sassy. You can out-sass any problems! Just take it one day at a time and remember, it’ll all get better soon.
