Haven’t made it up at 4 to write in dog years, so was surprised this morning when I woke without the benefit of an alarm clock. Maybe I finally caught up on all my sleep.
More likely, I woke because I spent all day Sunday editing my second ET romance, currently titled Seeing Fate. I got so excited by some of it, I dreamed about extraterrestrials. The publisher asked for a revise and resub on it because as she said, “the romance is lost in the last half. Management would like a little more focus on the h/h than the “earth girl saves the world.” I actually have to agree. I think I got so excited by the plot I kind of forgot there was more going on here than intergallactic peace. 🙂
It’s going to be a busy week. The kid’s birthday is tomorrow, it’s tax time at the day job and we’re working 6-day weeks, and the dog’s got to have eye surgery this morning–not to mention basketball practice, Wednesday night church and perhaps even a little sleeping in there. Oh and man, American Idol starts this week–the kid and I love watching that together. Yep, it’s going to be a busy week.
Anyway, I’m going to go work on it some more before I run out of what free time I’ve got today. I’m on page 119, so about 70 pages to go. I fear my cafe and farm in CafeWorld and Farmville, respectively, are going to go the way of the dino from here on. Ah well, it was a fun and harmless diversion while it lasted.
